The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) is aware of the recent noise concerns reported by residents near the Riverside Vacuum Station and in neighboring communities. Crews have taken steps to reduce the noise while the replacement of the aging vacuum station remains on schedule.

As of December 11, CRRUA has taken measures that have resulted in a marked reduction in noise at the site. The utility will continue overseeing the area to confirm the progress holds and will implement additional refinements as necessary.

Results of fourth quarter 2025 (October - December) arsenic tests conducted by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) Drinking Water Bureau (DWB) show that all four arsenic treatment facilities (ATF) operated by the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) remain NMED compliant based on the department’s Running Annual Average (RAA.)

Water service in the 1985 McNutt Rd area will be temporarily shut off to allow crews to complete necessary repairs. Homes and businesses within the highlighted zone may experience full outages or reduced pressure during this work period.

The Sunland Park City Council tonight approved a new rate structure for the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) that goes into effect January 1, 2026.

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) reminds customers that water usage during the next three months will set the wastewater rate on next year’s utility bill. 

“CRRUA calculates residential wastewater rates based on average water usage in December, January and February,” said CRRUA Executive Director Juan Crosby. “This is known as the Winter Wastewater Averaging Period.”

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) Board of Directors has approved a new rate structure recommended in a recent cost-of-service rate study conducted by Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc.
