UPDATE: Water Service Restored at Victory Lane

Water service is restored in the Victory Lane area between Quinella Road and Derby Road. Crews with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) have completed repairs to a broken water main. 

With water service restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes.

The Victory Lane area between Quinella Road and Derby Road will experience an interruption in water service today for repairs a water line break.

Once water service is restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. FINAL UPDATE - Water Service Restored at 1300 Country Club Road

Crews with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) have completed repairs to a broken water main at 1300 Country Club Road that impacted The Reserve Townhomes and adjacent office. 

With water service restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes.

UPDATE - Crews with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) are making progress repairing the water main break on Country Club Road at The Reserve Townhomes and adjacent office at 1300 Country Club Road. CRRUA will issue further updates.

Discolored Water Calls for September 2025

In its monthly voluntary discolored water report, the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) received two customer calls for discolored water in September 2025. Water was clear at point of entry for both locations. 

Discolored water calls include brown or yellow water. Causes include water line breaks, water wells returning to service and hydrant flushes that disturb naturally occurring sediments that accumulate in the distribution system over time, and issues within the dwelling associated with water heaters, water softeners and water filtration systems.

CRRUA Passes October 2025 Operational Control Arsenic Tests

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) passed its monthly operational control arsenic tests for October 2025, as verified by an independent laboratory. CRRUA provides water and wastewater services to Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, NM.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) for arsenic is 10 parts per billion (ppb).

CRRUA Hosts Community Workshop on Water and Wastewater Cost of Service Rate Study

CRRUA invites residents to a Community Workshop to discuss the Cost of Service Rate Study, a review process that helps determine the actual cost of delivering safe, reliable water and wastewater services to our community. 

The workshop will take place on October 14, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at the Sunland Park Multigenerational Center, 4700 McNutt Rd., Sunland Park, NM.
