The Sunland Park Fire Department is conducting hydrant flushes/testing today in the Sunland Park areas of Villa Valencia/Valencia Hills.
The actions may result in discolored water due to the disturbance of naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, flush cold water faucets for several minutes.

In February 2025, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducted a review of the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) and identified 64 areas of concern that needed to be corrected. CRRUA is continually making headway in correcting the areas of concern and has created this checklist to track progress. (ATF = Arsenic Treatment Facility)

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) is currently repairing a water line break in Santa Teresa adjacent to the Jetport the area of Francis Aviation and the War Eagles Air Museum.
Water service to the area will be interrupted during the repair process and CRRUA will provide progress updates.

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) passed its monthly operational control arsenic tests for September 2025, as verified by an independent laboratory. CRRUA provides water and wastewater services to Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, NM.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) for arsenic is 10 parts per billion (ppb).
